Project Summary

 HAVOYOCO together with African Development foundation (ADF) through Somali Consultant Association (SOCO) responsible for the project on behalf USADF are implementing a 2 year 2016-2017 on Youth employment Creation Project.  This Project will target 200 youths and provide marketable skills auto-mechanics, electronics, Tie & dye, food processing, housekeeping and hospitality.  Afterwards trainees will engage in business and others attached to potential employers to enable them acquire experience and get employed as well as improve their livelihood.  The first component of the project is focusing on increasing capacity of HAVOYOCO to plan and manage technical assistance for youth; while the second results focusing is to enhance income generation activities for participating youth.

In the first cycle ( Oct – January 2016 ) the project trained 40 youths in three months of upgrading electronic skills, and 30 of these trainees were supported to create their own business start ups through provided to employment packages.
